1980
Immanuel School (formerly known as Acorn School) was founded, when a small group of parents decided to take personal responsibility for the education of their children within a distinctively Christian ethos. The school began in humble surroundings, based at different times in a church hall, parents homes, and then in a former health clinic. Isaiah 61:3 was a promise given at that time by the Lord concerning the children:
“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour.”
