Admissions Procedure

We welcome applications for Nursery through to Year 9 from families who can fully support our aims. Children do not have to attend our nursery class to ensure a Reception place. Having requested a prospectus, parents will be asked to arrange an informal visit before making an application for admission. Once a formal application is made, each application is prayerfully considered, taking into account the character of the appropriate year group; references will be taken from church leaders and the child's current school. Parents will be notified in writing of the decision made. A holding deposit of £600 is required with the acceptance of an offer of place. This is non-refundable if you subsequently change your mind. The offer of a place is held open for one month.

In the case of Early Years funded children, this deposit may be returned on request after 4 weeks of a child starting in line with DFE statutory guidance. However this will need to be repaid  before a place in the school can be confirmed once the child reaches compulsory school age (i.e. the term after the child’s 5th birthday)

Finances

Immanuel School is a faith venture. We receive no government funding apart from Early Years funded places; we rely on fees, fund raising, gifts and donations. Staff salaries are below the equivalent state system rates and some staff work without taking a salary, enabling us to keep our fees low compared to other independent schools.

The monthly scale of fees as of September 2025 is:

  • £754.80 for a family with one child

  • £1,132.80 for a family with two children

  • £1,383.60 for a family with three children

  • £1,572.00 for a family with four children

(All fees including VAT)

For students in early years, please see the Early Years page.
